National Services Day Events Taking Place Across Ireland This Saturday

Communities across Ireland will recognise the dedication of emergency-service personnel and volunteers during National Services Day on Saturday, 5 September 2026.

Parades, exhibitions and public events are planned in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Wexford, Kilkenny, Drogheda, Naas and Galway. The events will bring members of Ireland’s frontline, emergency, security and voluntary services together with the communities they serve.

National Services Day celebrates those who serve, commemorates those who have made sacrifices and aims to inspire future generations.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the National Ambulance Service Pipes and Drums Band and the 80th anniversary of the Irish Naval Service.
