The Irish Coast Guard managed 2,793 incidents during 2025, including search-and-rescue missions, maritime casualty responses, pollution incidents and support during severe weather.

Ireland's 44 Coast Guard units were mobilised 1,187 times, while Coast Guard helicopters completed 933 missions. Critical assistance was provided to 1,941 people, including 190 air-ambulance flights supporting offshore island communities.
RNLI lifeboats were launched 798 times following Coast Guard coordination, while community inshore rescue services responded to 121 taskings.
The year also marked an expansion of the Coast Guard's aviation capability, with new helicopter operations from Shannon, Dublin and Sligo and fixed-wing operations commencing from Shannon.
